Desktop/wall-mount/mobile modular plastic enclosures for smart building controls, BMS, HVAC, energy management, access control and smart home hubs

More electronics designers are specifying OKW’s INTERFACE-TERMINAL modular plastic enclosures for building control.

Elegant INTERFACE-TERMINAL is ideal for smart building controls, building management systems (BMS), HVAC, energy management and access control. BMS applications include BACnet networks, Modbus controllers, KNX installations, LonWorks systems and MQTT IoT gateways.

Versatile INTERFACE-TERMINAL is available in seven versions, including mobile handheld units (with or without a battery compartment), as well as wall-mount and desktop models. A flush-mount version enables permanent integration into a wall, panel or fascia; its discreet profile is perfect for historic or other architecturally sensitive locations. Charging stations can also be configured.

These IP 54 (optional) ABS enclosures are available with either a flat or high bottom part for individual installation configurations, interfaces and cable inputs/outputs. Optional front panel styles include ABS cover and flat panel, aluminum front panel and glass panel for touch screens.

The mobile version with battery compartment accommodates 5 x AA cells, accessible from the outside. The handle area has attractive flat styling. Finger recesses on the underside ensure a secure grip.

Enclosures with a base or flat wall suspension element are best for data transmission and charging. The unit can be snapped into place, with the operating panel mounted either vertically or horizontally.

Each version comes in three plan sizes (S 7.48" x 5.32", M 8.86" x 6.50" and L 10.83" x 7.68") in off-white (RAL 9002) as standard. The enclosures are configured from separate case parts for optimal choice.

OKW can supply INTERFACE-TERMINAL fully customized. Services include machining, lacquering, printing, laser marking, decor foils, special materials, RFI/EMI shielding, and installation/assembly of accessories (which include seals and battery contacts).
