Body-Case can be worn just like a watch!

Wrist-worn devices are driving demand in wearable electronics. There’s no doubt they have the highest profile in the market segment.

But wearables are not just about smart watches for fitness apps – they offer great opportunities for data logging and transmission, monitoring and tracking, emergency call and notification. OKW is leading the way in wearable enclosures with BODY-CASE, our first case designed to fit a standard 18 mm watchstrap.

BODY-CASE is OKW’s first fully wearable plastic enclosure. It can be strapped to the wrist, clipped to a belt, suspended from a lanyard or carried in a pocket. These smart new cases are tough, well protected (IP 65/67) and comfortable to wear thanks to their ergonomic contouring and convenient size (2.17” x 1.81” x 0.67”).

BODY-CASE’s versatility makes it ideal for touchscreens, push buttons or voice-activated electronics. Wearers can use wireless electronics inconspicuously and with no restriction on their movements. There’s a choice of power options: either PCB-mounted round or button cells or a rechargeable battery with a copper loop for charging inductively.

BODY-CASE is molded from highly polished Traffic White (RAL 9016) ASA for superior UV resistance. Each case comprises three parts:

  • top section (recessed or non-recessed) with PCB location bars
  • bottom section with four pre-molded drilling centers for contact pins
  • sealing ring in soft touch Lava or Vermilion (RAL 2002) TPE

Accessories include a black silicone wrist strap (193 x 18 mm) with stainless steel buckle; spring bar tool; fastening kit (belt/pocket clip, lanyard eyelet, two covers for closing the wrist strap attachments); Torx T6 screwdriver; lanyard (33.86”).

Prices for BODY-CASE start at $14. It’s one of three models in the OKW wearable enclosures range. The others are MINITEC and ERGO-CASE.
