Wear them on the body, or fit them to a lanyard or key ring.

We’ve added a new wearable enclosures page to the OKW website so you can compare and specify cases more easily. Wearables are the new frontier in electronics – as exemplified by our new BODY-CASE enclosures (read more about them in our previous blog post). You can fit BODY-CASE to any standard 18 mm watchstrap (not just the black silicone strap we supply as an accessory).

OKW has a proud history in this rapidly growing market segment, creating award-winning wearable enclosures years before smartwatches captured the imagination of consumers.

Our popular MINITEC range won an iF Product Design Award back in 2009 and was nominated for a Designpreis Deutschland Award the next year. Its smart design, comfortable ergonomics and sheer versatility have made it a firm favorite with OEM electronics designers – especially for applications which involve wireless remote control.

MINITEC offers a wealth of solutions: whether you wear it on a wrist strap, hang it from lanyard or clip it to your belt or key ring. Very little customization is needed to make MINITEC ready for your electronics – thanks to the huge number of size, shape and color permutations available as standard.

Need a larger case? Specify our ERGO-CASE enclosures – they’re proof positive that wearable enclosures don’t have to be small. And like all OKW enclosures, ERGO-CASE looks great. We never forget that wearable devices are still very much a fashion accessory.

ERGO-CASE is available in four sizes from wear-on-the-wrist XS (3.23” x 2.21” x 0.95”) to L (5.91” x 7.87” x 2.13”/2.72”). You can also specify Size L with a transparent top panel for displays. Wearable electronics are a specialized market segment with their own ergonomic challenges and pitfalls.
