Go to the OKW website and you’ll see 15 ranges of handheld enclosures…look a little closer and you’ll notice there’s an odd one out. New DATEC-COMPACT is the only one pictured with a gloved hand – because it’s been ergonomically designed specifically for use with gloves in cold climates.

But that’s not its only unique feature: DATEC-COMPACT is also the first OKW enclosure to feature integrated contact pins as standard for charging. And now it’s available in two new sizes – S (5.35” x 2.91” x 1.26”) and L (8.11” x 4.33” x 1.85”) to complement the existing size M (6.77” x 3.62” x 1.54”).

You won’t be surprised to learn that all DATEC-COMPACT cases are all rated to NEMA 4 (IP65) to keep out water and dust. Watch the video on the DATEC-COMPACT product page and see this rugged enclosure shrug off a serious soaking. The cases are also highly resistant to the effects of sunlight too, being manufactured from UV-stable ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0).

Specify them for a wide range of outdoor mobile data recording and transfer applications – along with digital control and test and measurement.

DATEC-COMPACT can be specified either with or without a battery compartment (AAA x 3 for size S, AA x 3 for M and L). The compartment can also accommodate USB connectors and SD cards. Its lid – like the rest of the enclosure – is secured using Torx T10 screws to help prevent tampering.

Prices for DATEC-COMPACT start at $40. Accessories include wall brackets, desk stations, contacts, non-slip feet, PCB screws and a Torx T10 screwdriver.
