TOUGH AND VERY STYLISH ENCLOSURES FOR INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS

OKW has added a new size to its SMART-BOX range of advanced sealed plastic enclosures for industrial electronics: 5.12” x 8.66” x 2.36”. SMART-BOX is designed to enhance the aesthetics and ergonomics of industrial electronics such as HVAC, control and safety systems.

Design features include hinged flush-fitting trims which conceal and protect all the fixings. The high quality A2 stainless steel alloy screws are highly resistant to corrosion and aggressive substances. The lid (which features plastic retaining straps) is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad while the underside has space for product labels. Inside there are fastening pillars for PCBs and DIN rails.

SMART-BOX is manufactured from high quality robust ASA+PC (UL 94 V-0) to withstand demanding industrial environments. It is rated to IP 66 similar to NEMA 4X (gaskets are pre-fitted). The enclosures are now available in eight sizes ranging from 4.72” x 3.54” x 1.97” to 11.02” x 6.69” x 2.36”. The standard color is Light Gray (RAL 7035) but custom colors are available on request. Prices start at $32.

Accessories include a key lock and security plugs to help prevent tampering; M6 and M10 pressure equalization elements (IP 56); TPE and EPDM cable grommets (IP 67) and TPE case feet.

SMART-BOX and other OKW enclosures can be fully customized with CNC milling and drilling, printing or engraving of legends and logos, special finishes, RFI shielding and assembly of components.
