CARRYTEC ERGONOMIC HANDHELD ENCLOSURES

OKW has added a unique range of accessories for its CARRYTEC range of portable enclosures which are really useful for portable instruments and test equipment. The new accessories include two new soft storage and protection bags, left and right handed, which are designed for carrying equipment cables, test probes, sensors and tools etc.

The bags clip on to the side of the enclosures and have an opening next to the underside control panels on the enclosures. This allows the cables to be connected to the equipment and stored in the bags for use when needed. The bags have a zip opening and separate storage compartments. A new shoulder strap is also available which fits to the bags so the equipment can be easily carried by the user.

CARRYTEC enclosures feature an integrated handle and are available in three standard sizes with external dimensions of 222 x 205 x 80 mm to 348 x 303 x 117 mm. Two standard materials are available: ABS (UL 94 HB) in off-white (RAL 9002) for indoor use, and fibreglass reinforced ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) in lava gray for tougher outdoor use. An IP 54 sealing kit is also available as an accessory.

The enclosures are very easy to assemble. The top, bottom and handle grip mouldings are assembled by five security screws (Torx T10). The handle grip is moulded in soft touch TPE material for comfortable carrying.

The top section has a recessed area for membrane keypads, displays and touch screens. Inset flat sections on the underside are designed for mounting connectors or control switches. Screw pillars are provided in the top and bottom for fitting PCBs, displays and assemblies. Prices start at £36.

Other accessories include battery compartments for five 1.5V AA cells and a medical holding clamp for round tubes or rails.   OKW can supply the CARRYTEC enclosures fully customised with additional holes, silk-screen print legends and logos, and EMC shielding on the inside.
